[0023]Referring now to FIG. 1, there is shown a three dimensional schematic of a stop collar assembly 10 in an unassembled position disposed over a casing 16 used in oil and gas operations. Stop collar assembly 10 includes identical and symmetrically disposed over casing 16 end rings 12A and 12B and an inner sleeve 14 disposed over casing 16 between end rings 12A and 12B. End rings 12A and 12B are made of strong metal material such as steel and are appropriately sized to slide over the exterior of inner sleeve 14 and to effect the desired compression on inner sleeve 14 as hereinafter described. Inner sleeve 14 is also constructed of metal material such as steel and it is appropriately sized to be intimately received over the exterior of casing 16.
