According to the method, data acquisition after state estimation is performed by adopting a power grid dispatching SCADA system; bad data in the online monitoring is corrected; accuracy of use data is ensured while power grid loss is divided into a fixed loss part and a variable loss part to be calculated separately, and the total electric energy loss of the power grid is obtained by summation; and by combination with the SCADA system, power supply quantity data of the power grid is obtained, and then the electric energy loss rate of the power grid is calculated. The power grid loss online calculation method has the advantages that the power grid loss calculation model in the power grid dispatching SCADA system is corrected, and the calculation method has high adaptivity and calculation precision.
