Embodiment Construction

[0016] Fig. 1 schematically shows the structure of a biaxially stretching tenter according to the present invention.

[0017] In FIG. 1 , a pair of ring-shaped guide rails 1 for guiding a group of film clamps (not shown) are symmetrically arranged relative to the center line of the running channel for the plastic film 2 to run horizontally.

[0018] This tenter is provided with a preheating zone, a stretching zone, a heat setting chamber (annealing chamber) 3 , a middle chamber 4 and a cooling chamber 5 in order from the ascending side of the running path of the film 2 to the descending side thereof.

[0019] In the preheating zone, the film clamps holding the supplied film 2 run at low speed. The membrane 2 is preheated during operation by hot air exhausted from a plurality of plenums (not shown).

[0020] In the stretching zone, due to the expansion of the guide rails 1 relative to each other towards the downstream side, the spacing between the film clips on the one guide r...

Abstract

A tenter oven comprising a heating ozone arranged with a plenum duct for heating a film, a cooling zone arranged with a plenum duct for cooling the film, an intermediate chamber defined between the heating zone and the cooling zone by partition walls and a tenter for stretching the film being carried from the heating zone toward the cooling zone. An air jet nozzle for jetting fresh air to the surface of the film and forming an air layer across the surface of the film is provided in the intermediate chamber in order to prevent air from being carried into the intermediate chamber from the heating zone along with the film by the air layer.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a tenter oven comprising a plenum for heating and cooling a film and a tenter for stretching the film. Background technique [0002] The tenter furnace has a heating zone equipped with a plenum duct for heating the film, a cooling zone equipped with a plenum duct for cooling the film, and a middle chamber defined between the heating zone and the cooling zone by a partition wall installed therebetween. A tenter for stretching a film passing from a heating zone to a cooling zone. [0003] In this tenter furnace, when the film is passed from the heating zone to the middle chamber, the accompanying air flows into the middle chamber. This accompanying air is polluted air containing additives, such as thermal stabilizers (antioxidants), antistatic agents and lubricants, which seep out of the film and evaporate. Therefore, there usually arises a problem that pollutants in the accompanying air flowing into the middle chamber ...
