On one hand, the washing method for the air conditioner disclosed by the invention realizes two-step washing, also realizes sterilization, can be used for effectively cleaning the heat exchanger and maintains the heat exchanger to be sanitary and free of pollution; and on the other hand, the rotating speed of the fan and the running frequency of the compressor are set in each stage of the washing method so that the system of the air conditioner is utilized as far as possible, and thus the cleaning effect of theair conditioner is improved.
