Problems solved by technology

However, Patent Document 1 aims at reducing the change in pretilt angle and the destruction of alignment characteristics caused by heat treatment during manufacture, and does not even hint at the purpose of preventing deterioration due to impurity ions and its countermeasures.
Therefore, from the content disclosed in Patent Document 1, this manufacturer was unable to take countermeasures against deterioration due to impurity ions.

Embodiment 1

[0065] A resin composition in which double F-type epoxy resin (Yepicot 806 manufactured by Nippon Epoxy Resin Co., Ltd.) and polyimide resin wax (Nissan Chemical Co., Ltd. SE749 26% solid content concentration) were directly dissolved was adjusted. An average of 2 samples of 0%, 1%, 10%, and 50% by weight of the epoxy resin ratio to the mixed solution of the epoxy resin and the polyimide resin wax was prepared individually. Then, after the adjusted resin composition is coated with a spinner on a glass substrate equipped with an indium tin oxide (ITO) transparent electrode, it is pre-baked in an atmosphere of about 85°C, and heat-cured at about 220°C for 30 minutes. A film of about 60 to 100 nm is formed. In addition, grinding|polishing was performed on the conditions of the pushing amount of 0.3 mm, the number of revolutions of 700 rpm, and the conveying speed of 1000 mm / min. Embodiment 2

[0073] The liquid crystal 12 is a fluorine-based liquid crystal (model ZLI4792, +5.3 dielectric anisotropy) restrained by magnesium ear. A liquid crystal display was fabricated in the same manner as in Example 1. An average of two samples were prepared in which the ratio of the epoxy resin to the mixed solution of the epoxy resin and the polyimide resin wax was 0%, 1%, 10%, and 50% by weight. Experiments were conducted with respect to the response time (ON+OFF) of the liquid crystal display. The results are shown in Table 2 and Figure 3 . Using an alignment film composed of double F-type epoxy resin mixed with 1%, 10%, and 50% by weight of epoxy resin and polyimide resin wax mixed solution, the response time of liquid crystal 12 was approximately stable.

Abstract

An alignment film for avoiding the degradation of the charge holding rate of a LCD, due to ionic impurity of the liquid crystal materials, and the LCD that is made of the same is disclosed herein. The alignment film 10 includes derivatives of polyimides or polyamides and low molecular thermosetting resins having a viscosity of 1-3000 Poise within the temperature of 25° C. Through the use of the alignment film 10 produced by the thermosetting resin monomers, the ionic impurity is prevented from contact with the pixel electrode 16 . The performance of the LCD with the alignment film is improved during the test of reliability, even though a liquid crystal material with high dielectric anisotropy is used.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an alignment film for eliminating deterioration defects and a liquid crystal display using the alignment film. Background technique [0002] In recent years, development of large-scale liquid crystal displays or high-definition liquid crystal displays has been vigorously carried out. By selecting the liquid crystal material, a high-speed response liquid crystal display can also be obtained, and the afterimage phenomenon of the liquid crystal display can also be eliminated. [0003] In these liquid crystal displays, impurity ions present in liquid crystals are the cause of a decrease in the charge retention rate. Liquid crystal material is necessary to increase the resistivity to suppress the flow of electric current. Therefore, in order to obtain high resistivity, it is necessary to improve the refining method without having a high degree of precision such as a small amount of impurity ions. However, in liquid crysta...
