Abstract

A system for signaling the position of a movable obstacle, the system comprising: a movable obstacle; a motor coupled to the movable obstacle for moving the movable obstacle between limit positions a position detecting device, which monitors the movable obstacle to generate an obstacle position signal; and an indicating device, which receives the obstacle position signal and indicates the position of the movable obstacle relative to the limit position. The system also includes an operating mechanism for controlling the motor and at least one transmitter device that generates a transmit signal that is received by the operating mechanism to energize the motor. The system further includes a blocking switch that generates a blocking signal that is received by the operating mechanism to prevent reception of the transmission signal from the at least one transmitter device.
