Embodiment Construction

[0049] Several preferred embodiments of the present invention are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0050] like Figure 5 As shown, the mobile communication system according to the first embodiment of the present invention includes mobile units 10a to 10c, radio base stations 20a and 20b forming cells 40a and 40b, respectively, which communicate with the mobile units 10a to 10c located in the cells 40a and 40b , and the shapes of the cells 40a and 40b are estimated from the information transmitted from the mobile units 10a to 10c, and a higher level station 30 is also included which interconnects the radio base stations 20a and 20b. The mobile units 10a to 10c determine the processing frequency in moving between the cells 40a and 40b based on the shapes of the cells 40a and 40b estimated by the radio base stations 20a and 20b. Note that as in figure 1 Like those shown in, multiple sectors are formed in cells 40a and 40b. although Figure 5 Only...

Abstract

The invention relates to a mobile communication system comprising a plurality of radio base stations each forming a cell / sector and communicating with mobile units located in said cell / sector. A mobile unit transmits to a radio base station information used to estimate the location of the mobile unit. A radio base station estimates the shape of a cell / sector formed by said radio base station from information transmitted from a mobile unit. If the system also includes a higher level station connected to the radio base station, reporting the shape of the cell / sector estimated by one radio base station to the higher level station allows multiple radio base stations to share the shape of the cell / sector.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a mobile communication system having a mobile unit and a plurality of radio base stations which respectively form cells / sectors and perform communication with the mobile units present in the cells / sectors. Background technique [0002] figure 1 An example of the configuration of a mobile communication system forming a cell / sector configuration is shown. [0003] like figure 1 As shown, one cell 140 is constituted by one radio base station 120 , and a plurality of sectors 150a to 150f are formed in the cell 140 . It should be noted that CDMA schemes typically use a scheme that implements sectors 150a through 150f using different scrambling codes on the same frequency. [0004] figure 2 represents a state in which a plurality (three) of radio base stations 120 are arranged to be adjacent to each other, each of said radio base stations with figure 1 The base station shown is the same. [0005] like figure 2 As sho...
