Problems solved by technology

[0010] That is, it is difficult to simultaneously satisfy two contradictory requirements: preventing inclination of the polygon mirror 57 relative to the rotor case 51 due to close contact; and preventing the two surfaces from biting each other caused by reducing the gap therebetween.

Embodiment Construction

[0029] Preferred embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0030] In the present invention, a polygon mirror scanner motor is an external rotor type brushless DC motor including: a rotor in which the polygon mirror is horizontally and vertically aligned with a cup-shaped rotor housing and mounted on the housing; and A stator, wherein the motor switchboard and the stator core are attached to a stator housing that rotatably supports the rotating shaft of the rotor.

[0031] The outline of the polygon mirror motor will now be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2 .

[0032] In FIG. 2 , the rotor 1 comprises a cup-shaped rotor housing 2 . The shaft hole 3 is drilled in the rotor casing 2, and the rotating shaft 4 passes through the shaft hole 3 and is fixed therein by suitable means such as press fit and shrink fit.

[0033] In FIG. 1 , a polygon mirror 5 is mounted on the upper surface of the rotor ho...

Abstract

In a polygonal mirror scanner motor, slant character of optical surface of the polygonal mirror relative with the compact contact with two elements is achieved at same time, and the gap minimum of the both is achieved. The polygonal mirror scanner motor of the invention comprises a rotor, wherein the polygonal mirror is horizontally and vertically aiming to the shell of the cup shaped rotor and is arranged on the shell, and the loop magnet is arranged in the shell of the rotor, the rotor can rotates around a rotation shaft; and a stator, wherein, the motor switchboard and the stator magnet core are additively connected to the shell of the stator, the stator shell supports the rotation shaft and permits it rotation. At least one of the contact surface of the shell of the stator and internal contact surface of the polygonal mirror forms a curve surface.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a polygon mirror scanner motor, for example, which rotates a rotor on which a polygon mirror is mounted. Background technique [0002] OA equipment having a polygon mirror, such as a laser printer, a copier, etc., includes a polygon mirror scanner motor capable of rotating the polygon mirror at high speed, and the like. An outer rotor type DC brushless motor is suitably used as a polygon mirror scanner motor. For example, the rotor has a cup-shaped rotor housing supported by a rotating shaft, and the polygon mirror is horizontally and vertically aligned with the rotor housing and mounted on the rotor housing. The polygon mirror is fixed on the mounting surface of the rotor housing by, for example, a spring. The rotating shaft of the rotor is rotatably supported by the stator housing. [0003] An example of a process for manufacturing such a rotor housing will be described with reference to FIGS. 6A-6E . [0004] In ...
