Problems solved by technology

However, the curve f' shows that the conventional equalizer bank 1 has the problem of excessive gain diminution
The above-mentioned problems such as excessive gain accumulation and excessive gain reduction produced in conventional equalizer group 1 are caused by the interference (interference) between each filter in Fig. 1

Embodiment Construction

[0016] FIG. 4 is a block diagram of an equalizer set 2 with interference suppression according to an embodiment of the present invention. Described equalizer bank 2 comprises a pre-slope filter 20 (characterized by having a cutoff point f 0 , gain g 0 and quality factor Q 0 ), three peak filters 211-213 (characterized by having a central frequency f 1 , f 2 and f 3 , gain g 1 , g 2 and g 3 , quality factor Q 1 , Q 2 and Q 3 ), a rear slope filter 22 (characterized by having a cutoff point f 4 , gain g 4 and quality factor Q 4 ) and three compensators 231-233 (characterized by having a central frequency f 7 , f 6 and f 5 , gain g 7 , g 6 and g 5 , quality factor Q 7 , Q 6 and Q 5 ). an audio signal S 0 input to the pre-slope filter 20 and is converted into a first signal S 1 . Afterwards, the three peak filters 211-213 convert the first signal S 1 converted into a second signal S 2 . Next, the post-slope filter 22 converts the second signal S 2 conv...

Abstract

The present invention relates to an equalizer bank with interference reduction. The equalizer bank with interference reduction comprises a front-shelving filter, a plurality of peak filters, a rear-shelving filter and a plurality of compensators. The center frequency and the quality factor of each compensator are designed intentionally to be identical to those of the corresponding peak filter. When a user selects a specific gain level, the corresponding parameters that determine the peak filter and the compensator are retrieved directly and a complex calculation is skipped. Therefore, an audio signal can be equalized more efficiently with lower hardware cost.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an equalizer bank, in particular to an equalizer bank with interference suppression utilizing multiple compensators and installing multiple look-up tables. Background technique [0002] In the processing of digital sound effects, an equalizer (equalizer) is used to obtain a magical sound balance effect. An equalizer bank includes a plurality of equalization filters connected in series or in parallel, and the user can adjust these equalization filters to boost or reduce the gain of a specific frequency band. Probably the most common equalizer system today is the tone control used in most stereo systems. The tone control provides a quick and easy way for the user to tune the tone to suit the user's preferences and to some extent compensate for the placement of the furniture in the room. Users can often find two knobs (knob) labeled bass and treble in the tone control. Both the bass and treble knobs are associated with ...
