Example Embodiment

[0040] An elevator 1 equipped with an emergency braking device according to the first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 7. The elevator 1 shown in Fig. 1 includes a rail 3 laid in the vertical direction in the hoistway 2, a car 4 guided by the rail 3, a governor (speed governor) 5, a main rope 6, a hoist 7, and a counterweight 8. Guide device 9 and emergency braking device 10. The governor 5 and the emergency braking device 10 are a safety device used to prevent the car 4 from running at a speed above the set speed, and to make the car 4 stop safely.

[0041] One end of the main rope 6 is fixed to the upper part of the car 4, which is suspended in the hoistway 2. The main rope 6 is wound on a hoist 7 arranged on the upper part of the hoistway 2, and a counterweight 8 is suspended on the other end via a deflector pulley 72 arranged side by side. The counterweight 8 moves in the direction opposite to the car 4 in the hoistway 2 along ...

Abstract

An emergency brake device (10) comprises a wedge (11), a wedge seat (12) and a rotator (13). The orbit (3) of an elevator locates between a couple of wedges (11). An inclined part (112) sets on the other side of the wedge (11) relative to the orbit (3), the top of the inclined part forms inclined to the direction of clipping on the orbit (3). A guide combining part (113) extending horizontally relative to the inclined part locates on a side of the wedge (11) relative to the inclined part (112). The wedge seat (12) is arranged with a support part (121) and a guide keep part (122). The support part (121) sets parallel to the inclined part (112), the guide keep part (122) extends towards the orbit (3) from the support part (121) to the position over the guide combining part (112). A pluralityof rotors are prepared, and set between the wedge (11) and the wedge seat (12).

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims priority from Japanese Patent Application No. 2006-205163 filed on July 27, 2006, which is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety. technical field [0003] The present invention relates to an emergency braking device equipped on a car or a counterweight of an elevator, and an elevator equipped with the device. Background technique [0004] According to the provisions of the Japanese Building Standards Law, the elevator car must be equipped with an emergency braking device that works to stop the car when the car descends faster than a preset speed. The emergency braking device is mostly arranged under the car. The emergency braking device shown in Japanese Patent No. 3611537 specification includes a pair of wedges that are symmetrical across a guide rail, wedges that serve as brakes, and wedge supports that serve as guides. Between the wedge and the wedge support, a plurality of rolle...
