Abstract

Being suitable to a portable communication device (PCD), the power saving system includes an operative main body, and a sensing unit. The operative main body can be a personal digital assistant, and the sensing unit can be an environment detector. The environment detector can sense for example light source or static etc environmental condition, and convert the said environmental condition to an external signal. When PCD enters into a communication mode, the power saving system receives the said signal by using the sensing unit, and drives the operative main body to enter to for ex. sleep state for saving power.
