Problems solved by technology

However, the common single length results in a very large overlap for the small circumference of the corresponding body area, which impairs the fit of the bandage and becomes uncomfortable
Therefore, the manufacture of bandages of different lengths and their storage management require a certain amount of overhead

Embodiment Construction

[0017] The exemplary embodiment of the dressing 1 shown in the figures is designed in multiple parts, the central section 12 forming the wider central region 2 and the end sections 13 , 14 forming the end regions 3 , 4 . An intermediate section 15 , 15 ′ can be inserted between the central section 12 and the end sections 13 , 14 , wherein the intermediate sections 15 , 15 ′ are available in different lengths, so that dressings 1 of different lengths can be realized. exist figure 1 The end section 13 towards the right in the center shows a middle section 15 inserted and connected to the middle section 2 and the end section 13, while on the left side separately connectable middle sections 15 of different lengths are shown , 15'.

[0018] If a middle section 15 , 15 ′ of suitable length adapted to the abdominal circumference of the patient 10 has been selected, it is connected in a tensile manner to the corresponding end section 13 , 14 and to the middle section 2 .

Abstract

Disclosed is a bandage, especially as a supporting element of an orthosis, preferably a body orthosis. In order to be able to adjust said bandage to different circumferential lengths of a body area around which the same is wrapped, the bandage is composed of several parts which form at least one central piece (12) and two final pieces (13, 14) that can be joined together to close the bandage, theparts being provided with a tenacious connection to each other.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a bandage, in particular as a carrier element of an orthosis, preferably a torso orthosis. Background technique [0002] Bandages of the type described here are used for wrapping around a body region, in particular the torso, of a patient. Such a bandage can be provided with a supporting device in order to support and relieve the lumbar spine, for example using a torso brace. It is known that completely different functions of the orthosis may be required here. It may therefore be necessary to completely relieve the lordotic region of the spine by bridging this lordotic region with the support device. The spine is largely immobilized here. [0003] It is also known to support the lumbar or lumbosacral region of the spine during periods of restricted mobility. A bandage or a slightly reinforced bandage may be needed for some support if necessary during the recovery phase to a large extent. [0004] A torso orthosis of the af...
