Abstract

A device for maintaining a surgical airway and method thereof includes an elongate body insertable through the mouth of a patient. The elongated body forms leading and trailing ends. Openings are formed through the leading and trailing ends so that a surgical device can be inserted through the opening of the elongated body. A fixture is attached to the tail end. The fasteners hold the elongated body in place to keep the airway open for treatment of the patient while supporting the flow of oxygen to the patient.
