Abstract

An appliance 10, such as a beverage dispenser, has an extendable and retractable fluid dispensing nozzle 102, 204 slideable between the retracted and extended positions along a linear path. The drive mechanism for extension of the nozzle may be a worm gear arrangement (118, 122 5), or a helical groove and lug arrangement (220, 218, 12). The nozzle may be that on a drinks dispenser for hot drinks such as tea and coffee.
