Abstract

The invention provides a liquid crystal display (LCD) as well as a backlight module thereof and a light source adjusting method. The backlight module includes a plurality of light sources, at least one light sensor, a plurality of photoconductive elements, at least one switching unit and an optical processing unit. Each photoconductive element is connected with a measuring point and the light sensor. The photoconductive elements are respectively used for conducting the light signal of the measuring point to the light sensor. The switching unit is arranged between the light sensor and the photoconductive elements, and used for selectively communicating at least one photoconductive element, thereby enabling the light sensor to receive the light signal of the communicated measuring point. The optical processing unit is used for controlling the switching unit and adjusting the brightness of the light source according to the light signal.
