Abstract

The invention discloses a method for upgrading R99 network, which comprises the following steps: according to the demand of a network plan, carrier waves are arranged on a radio network controller (RNC) through a network operation maintenance center (OMC); a base station (Node B) is started up to send resource status indication to the RNC; local subdistricts with carrier wave type are allocated through the OMC; if the carrier wave type of the subdistricts supports a carrier frequency service is judged; the RNC establishes new carrier frequency through the subdistricts or reallocated information and takes the carrier frequency type arranged on the OMC to the Node B by a number tape; the Node B establishes the changed carrier waves on suitable source; and the Node B returns the successful response news to the RNC.
