Abstract

The method comprises the following steps: receiving an upgrade message sent from a version server; acquiring download images of local equipment and neighboring equipment; and selecting the neighboring equipment from an upgrade equipment list according to the download images, and acquiring the file segments which are not downloaded from the selected neighboring equipment. In the technical scheme provided by the embodiment of the invention, the network equipment can download the file segments from the neighboring equipment, so as to reduce traffic load of the version server, and solve the traffic bottleneck problem of the version server in the case of batch version loading or version upgrade in the prior art.
