Abstract

The invention provides a logistics RFID system with an access to a wireless local area network, which is built on the basis of the wireless local area network and radio frequency identification technology and uses the wireless transmission characteristic of the WLAN and the non-contact automatic identification characteristic of the RFID to provide quick, convenient and flexible identification services for users. The system has a structure comprising a plurality of RFID chips, a plurality of AP access points of WLAN and a computer, wherein the RFID chips are placed in various goods to be transported in a logistics process; each of the AP access points of WLAN is connected with an RFID reader and a WLAN adapter which transmits RFID chip information received by the RFID reader to the AP access points of the WLAN; and the computer receives WLAN data. The number of the AP access points is calculated by a method comprising the following steps: (1) calculating the QoS value Q of a computer network in the WLAN; (2) assuming the percentage of stored information of the RFID chips in the total storage capacity to be V and the number of the RFID chips to be n; and (3) obtaining the number of the AP access points by dividing the arithmetic product of n and Q by V.
