Embodiment Construction

[0013] The shown part of the fuel injector 1 on the control valve side is connected to the common rail system of the internal combustion engine. The common rail system comprises a return line 2 , a storage container 3 , a high-pressure pump 4 , a fuel storage 5 (Common-Rail) and a fuel supply line 6 .

[0014] The part of the fuel injector 1 on the control valve side shows a valve body 11 , a nozzle needle piston 12 of a not shown nozzle needle, a control valve 13 , a solenoid actuating element 14 and a valve for the actuating element. 14 of the housing 15 . The electromagnetic adjusting element 14 includes an electromagnetic coil 43 which is fastened in a receptacle 44 of the housing 15 .

[0015] The valve body 11 is inserted hydraulically tight into an injector housing (not shown) and separates a low-pressure chamber 17 from a high-pressure chamber 18 . Connected to the high-pressure chamber 18 is a fuel supply line 6 , which supplies the high-pressure chamber 18 with the...

Abstract

A control valve (13) is proposed for actuating a control chamber (20) of a fuel injector with a valve element (25) and a valve sleeve (30). The valve sleeve (30) is guided in an axially movable manner and presses with a closing force against a valve seat (38) which is formed on the valve element (25). The valve sleeve (30) is guided by way of an outer circumferential surface (34) in a guide sleeve (50) which is formed as a component which is separate from the valve element (25). A hold-down spring (47) acts on the guide sleeve (50) in such a way that the guide sleeve (50) rests on the valve element (25) in a self-centring manner with respect to the axis of a conical outer surface (28).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a control valve for controlling the force equalization of fuel injectors of an internal combustion engine as stated in the preamble of claim 1 . Background technique [0002] EP 1 612 403 A1 discloses a force-balanced control valve for fuel injectors, in which control valve the valve sleeve is axially and movably guided on a guide pin of the valve block. The valve sleeve delimits a valve chamber to the outside, which is connected via an outlet opening to the control chamber of the nozzle needle of the fuel injection valve. The valve sleeve is pressed by the closing spring against a valve seat formed on the valve block and thus closes the valve chamber to the outside. The valve sleeve is displaced by an electromagnetic actuating element and is operated force-balanced in this case, ie the fuel in the valve chamber does not exert any resultant force on the valve sleeve in the direction of movement of the valve sleeve. In order t...
