Problems solved by technology

[0003] When the mesh around the hole has rich geometric details, none of the above methods can make full use of the geometric information of the known area, so the holes repaired by them will be too smooth to achieve satisfactory visual effects
This is because none of the above methods can guarantee that the structural information of the known area can be accurately copied into the hollow area.

Embodiment Construction

[0025] Such as figure 1 Shown, concrete steps of the present invention are as follows (the step in the dotted line frame is prior art):

[0026] 1. Decompose the 3D grid model into base model and high-frequency information by using an improved bilateral filtering algorithm.

[0027] Combining the bilateral filter with the Laplace operator, a new second-order Laplace bilateral filter operator is defined, and the grid is iteratively smoothed by using this operator. First estimate the normal direction of each vertex in the base model B, and then smooth the 3D mesh model M to obtain the base model B. In this process, the vertices in the 3D mesh model M will only follow the estimated base model B The normal direction movement of the corresponding vertex in , and finally calculate the displacement of each vertex in the 3D mesh model M relative to the corresponding vertex in the base model B, and use it as the geometric detail information of the vertex, that is, the high-frequency i...

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for repairing a three-dimensional grid model based on a global structure, which comprises the following four stages of: stage 1, detecting cavities of a three-dimensional grid model; stage 2, decomposing the three-dimensional grid model into a base model and high-frequency information by using the improved bilateral filtering algorithm; stage 3, based on the base model obtained after the decomposition in stage 2, repairing the base model by using a smooth three-dimensional model repairing method; and stage 4, based on the high-frequency information obtained after the decomposition in stage 2, repairing geometric structure details in the cavities, wherein stage 4 comprises the following steps of: (1) adding a structure curve by user's interactive operation on a graphical interface; (2) detecting interest regions based on the structure curve in (1); (3) specifying a control region by user's interactive operation on the graphical interface, and parameterizing the region into a two-dimensional plane; (4) generating a geometric detail image in the two-dimensional plane obtained after the parametrization in (3) based on the high-frequency information obtained after the decomposition in stage 2; (5) repairing the geometric detail image obtained in (4); and (6) mapping the repaired geometric detail image in (5) back to the three-dimensional grid model to ultimately finish repairing the three-dimensional model. The invention can repair the three-dimensional grid model having detail information of an obvious global structure, and the repaired three-dimensional grid model has richer geometric structure details.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of computer graphics and relates to a method for repairing a three-dimensional grid model, in particular capable of repairing a three-dimensional grid model with obvious global structure information. Background technique [0002] At present, there are many 3D mesh repair methods. A common mesh repair method is to fill in the appropriate mesh as a patch in the hole area with missing geometric information, and ensure that the filled patch meets the boundary conditions of the hole. Another kind of method is the volume-based inpainting method, which can achieve similar inpainting effect to the direct hole-filling method. This restoration method treats the process of filling the cavity as a process of surface reconstruction. Another class of methods is the template-based repair method. Models with large defect areas or missing topological structures are generally difficult to repair using the aforementioned methods. For ...
