Abstract

The invention relates to an automatic surfacing welding device and method of a runner hub, wherein one end of the runner hub is clamped on a front lathe chuck and the other end of the runner hub is arranged on a support roller rack. The rotation axis of a swinging device is set at the same height as a horizontal axis of the runner hub. An automatic submerged arc electric welding head is arranged on the end part of the swinging device. A swinging axis center of the automatic submerged arc electric welding head coincides with a surfacing welding spherical surface center of the runner hub. The welding steps are as follows: 1) clamping the runner hub so that the axis of the runner hub and the rotation axis of a lathe are coaxial; 2) swinging the automatic submerged arc electric welding head on the generatrix on which the vertex of the surfacing welding spherical surface is located; and 3) welding under the protection of CO2, wherein the rotation linear velocity of a principal axis is 150-300mm / minute, and the swing linear velocity is 10-20mm / hour.
