The method is characterized by comprising the following steps of: receiving configuration file information of a new database comprising new data tables; for all the original data tables in the original database, searching whether the new database has the new data tables which have the same attribute as the original data tables in the original database; and if so, merging data in the new data tables into the original data tables according to the preset characteristics of all fields in the original data tables to generate the updated date tables. The invention also discloses a database updating system, a base station self-starting method and a base station self-starting system.
