Abstract

The invention provides a base station searching method and a terminal. The terminal removes a base station which is not met with preset base station selection conditions according to the acquired information of the base station, and other base stations are continuously scanned until the terminal is accessed to the base station meeting the base station selection conditions. The method provided by the invention comprises the steps of removing special sub base stations which can not be accessed by the terminal step by step according to the sequence of acquisition time of information of a base station, namely if the early acquired information of the base station is not met with the base station selection conditions, the base station is directly determined to be an improper base station and is removed, a process for scanning other base stations is initiated again, and the lately acquired information of the base station is not judged any more. In the base station searching method provided by the invention, the terminal requires no searching according to the complete base station information of each base station, and the base stations which can not be accessed by the terminal are removed in advance, thus realizing rapid and accurate access of the base station, greatly improving scanning, accessing and switching performances of a wireless communication system and reducing communication and terminal costs.
