Abstract

A system, method, and computer-readable medium for regulating data traffic between a client device and a server. The system determines whether to allow transmission of a data file requested by a client device based on predefined criteria. The system provides an indication as to whether and under what conditions the transmission will be permitted. If the transfer of the data file is requested and the transfer is not allowed, a message is sent from the server to the client device that the first predefined criterion is not met and the message indicates that the transfer of the data file will be allowed when the second predefined criterion is met .
