Problems solved by technology

However, once the cable fails during operation, it will bring huge losses to the highly continuous production operations.
Whether it is a high-voltage cable or a low-voltage cable, failures are often caused by short circuit, overload operation, insulation aging or external force during construction, installation and operation.

Embodiment 1

[0025] Construction procedures for direct buried cable fault finding:

[0026] The first step is to measure the distance with a rangefinder. First of all, it is necessary to judge whether the cable fault is high resistance, low resistance or grounding, and different test methods are used according to this condition. If it is a ground fault, use the low-voltage pulse method of the range finder to measure the distance directly; if it is a high-resistance or low-resistance fault, use the high-voltage impulse discharge method to measure the distance.

[0027] The second step is to find the path (this step can be omitted if the path is clear). When finding the path, use the path signal generator to add a signal to the cable, then use the receiver to receive the signal, and walk along the path with the signal to determine the path of the cable. However, the range of this path is roughly between 1-2 meters, which is not particularly accurate.

[0030] Construction procedures for fault finding of cables laid in the bridge:

[0031] The first step is to measure the distance with a rangefinder. First of all, it is necessary to judge whether the cable fault is high resistance, low resistance or grounding, and different test methods are used according to this condition. If it is a ground fault, use the low-voltage pulse method of the range finder to measure the distance; if it is a high-impedance fault, use the high-voltage impulse discharge method to measure the distance.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for searching a fault of a power cable. Because the cable is generally buried under the ground, the traditional power cable fault searching method cannot quickly and accurately search the fault point and wastes a long time after the cable is broken down. The technical scheme used by the invention is as follows: the method for searching the fault of the power cable comprises the operation steps of: 1) judging the fault type of the cable, and selecting the testing method according to the fault type of the cable to measure the distance through a distance measurer; and 2) precisely positioning according to the measured distance. The invention has the following advantages of being capable of reducing searching time by 2-3 days in comparison with the traditional cable fault searching method, greatly reducing working time of workers and improving working efficiency because the fault point of the cable can be searched by only needing 1 day by adopting a measuring method comprising distance measurement and then location.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for fault finding of a power cable. Background technique [0002] Due to its hidden laying, convenient maintenance, reliable operation and beautifying the environment, power cable lines have been popularized in power supply lines in cities, factories, and enterprises. However, once the cable fails during operation, it will bring huge losses to the highly continuous production operations. Whether it is a high-voltage cable or a low-voltage cable, failures are often caused by short circuit, overload operation, insulation aging or external force during construction, installation and operation. Cable faults can be summarized into three types: grounding, short circuit, and disconnection. The fault types mainly include the following aspects: ①One or two cores of a three-core cable are grounded; ②Short circuit between two-phase core wires; ③Complete short circuit of three-phase core wires; ④ One-phase core wire breakage or ...
