Abstract

The present invention relates to a generic control plane that provides the GTP mobility protocol in the core network. When the user plane type is detected, the user plane parameters are provided in the control plane message header. The user plane message indicates the user plane type. Functions, parameters and messages are provided according to the indicated user plane type.
