[0082] The present application relates to corneal inlays (eg, masks) for enhancing the depth of focus of a patient's eye, and methods and apparatus for making such corneal inlays. The masks typically employ pinhole vision correction and, in some embodiments, have nutrient delivery structures. The mask may be applied to the eye in any manner and at any location within the eye, for example as an implant in the cornea (sometimes referred to as a "corneal inlay"). The mask may also be included in or combined with a lens and applied to other areas of the eye, for example as or in combination with a contact or intraocular lens. In some applications, discussed further below, the mask is made of a stable material (eg, a permanently implantable material). Corneal inlays with openings can also be used to treat aniridia.
