The craft painting is characterized by comprising a basic layer, an inkjet layer and an embroidery layer, wherein the inkjet layer is located on the basic layer, and the embroidery layer is located on the basic layer and completely or partially located on the inkjet layer. The production method comprises the following steps of: (1) producing an inkjet layer on a basic layer according to the computer file of a pattern; and (2) producing an embroidery layer on the basic layer with the inkjet layer produced according to the step (1) and on the inkjet layer according to an embroidery pattern. The craft painting disclosed by the invention simultaneously has the characteristics of inkjet-printed painting and embroidery work, so that artwork further has stereoscopic impression and vitality while having the characteristics of beautiful colour and high definition, thereby improving the art grade of the craft painting; and the craft painting is the product of the seamless combination of traditional art and modern art.
