An embodiment of the invention discloses a method for developing value added service, which includes the steps: receiving template selection instructions and capability component selection instructions inputted by an application provider by the aid of a service development client side, generating display frames of the value added service according to templates corresponding to the template selection instructions and generating capability call codes according to capability components corresponding to the capability component selection instructions, wherein the templates and the capability components are preset by a capability provider; and utilizing the service development client side to generate the value added service according to the display frames and the capability call codes. An embodiment of the invention further discloses the service development client side and a system for developing the value added service. By the aid of the method for developing the value added service, the value added service can be quickly developed, the same service on different network platforms can be quickly differently displayed, repeated development is avoided, and work burden of developers is relieved.
