Embodiment Construction

[0052] The present invention is described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings showing preferred embodiments.

[0053] figure 1 A block diagram showing the overall structure of an electronic percussion instrument including an electronic percussion pad according to an embodiment of the present invention. The electronic percussion instrument includes a plurality of electronic pads PD adapted to be struck. Each electronic pad PD is of the hi-hat (abbreviated as "HH") type, which is a substitute for a hi-hat cymbal.

[0054] The electronic percussion instrument includes ROM 12, RAM 13, timer 14, storage unit 15, display unit 16, external interface 17, operation interface 21, tone generator circuit 18 and effect circuit 19 connected to CPU 11 through bus 10.

[0055] A plurality of panel operation elements 22 connected to the operation interface 21 are used to input various information. For example, it is possible to set what musical tone is to be produced...

Abstract

The invention discloses a hi-hat type electronic pad capable of detecting, with reality, an up-and-down motion of a movable pad body that operates similarly to a top cymbal of an acoustic hi-hat, and capable of accurately detecting the operation by one of operation switches which is depressed by a corresponding actuator, even if the movable pad body is moved downward in an inclined state. An operation detecting unit includes a base plate and an elastic member and is provided on an HH pad body. When the HH pad body is moved downward by a pedal operation, the actuators formed on an upper surface of the elastic member and corresponding sheet switches disposed on the base plate are made in contact with one another, whereby operation ON is detected. The sheet switches are formed into an annular shape as viewed in plan.

Description

[0001] This application is a divisional application of an invention patent application with an application date of November 27, 2008, an application number of 200810178684.9, and an invention titled "hi-hat electronic percussion pad". technical field [0002] The invention relates to a hi-hat type electronic pad suitable for electronic percussion instruments. Background technique [0003] Acoustic hi-hats are used when the top cymbal is hit with a stick and when the top cymbal is hit by a pedal, that is, when the top cymbal is moved up and down by pedal operation so as to come into contact with the bottom cymbal. (abbreviated as HH) cymbals (acoustic hi-hat cymbals) are suitable for producing musical tones. [0004] Generally, there is known an electronic percussion instrument adapted to detect a pedal operation and output a detection signal for tone control in response to the pedal operation. [0005] For example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2003-316355 discloses an elec...
