Abstract

The invention discloses a dynamic monitor for a ballast bed and a method. The dynamic monitor for the ballast bed comprises a pre-tightening device, a force sensor and a loading device which are arranged in turn from up to down; a displacement measuring sensor is arranged in the loading device; the force sensor and the displacement measuring sensor are respectively connected with an electronic test device; the pre-tightening device, the force sensor and the loading device are arranged between a steel rail and the ballast bed; a pre-tightening force is applied by the pre-tightening device; a dynamic strain generated on the ballast bed during the running process of a train is monitored by the displacement measuring sensor; a dynamic load generated on the ballast bed during the running process of the train is monitored by the force sensor; a monitored data signal is transmitted to the electronic test device through a cable; and the data is processed by the electronic test device. The dynamic monitor for the ballast bed is simple in operation and high in measuring speed and has no interference to the running train and no harm to a roadbed.
