The invention provides a data grouping and uploading method for machine-type communication (MTC) equipment and an Internet of Things system, wherein the method comprises the steps that a plurality of MTC equipment are grouped, the MTC equipment and a base station are separately used for saving the grouped information which comprises grouping ID, intra-group equipment number and intra-group equipment sequence number of the MTC equipment; the base station receives the data uploading request sent by the MTC equipment, wherein the data uploading request carries the grouping ID of the group of the MTC equipment; the base station is used for allocating a resource block (RB) of a physical uplink sharing channel (PUSCH) to the group of the MTC equipment; all the grouped MTC equipment in the group are multiplexed with the RB according to the grouping information and transmit the data uploaded as requested in the RB; the base station is used for decomposing the data transmitted in the RB according to the grouping information to acquire the data uploaded by each MTC equipment and transmit the data to a MTC server.
