The method of producing a substrate for a light-emitting device comprises: a step for forming a first thin film for forming the first partition member on a support substrate; a step for forming a second thin film for forming the second partition member, comprising a photosensitive resin, on the first thin film; a step for removing the remaining areas of the second thin film by photolithography, except the area that overlaps with the area where the first partition member is formed, as viewed from one of the thickness directions of the support substrate; a step for removing the remaining areas of the first thin film by etching, except for the area covered by the second thin film, to form the first partition member; and a step for removing the surface part of the second thin film by etching, to form the second partition member.
