AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This patented technology allows us to accurately calculate roadbridge's susceptibility by analyzing its response during an earthquake event without requiring detailed knowledge about how well they are made up from other materials like concrete or steel. It also includes methods that allow researchers to study structures with complex geometry such as tunnels under bridges. Overall, these technical improvements make better understanding on roadscape issues related to damage caused by explosions.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to improving the accuracy and effectiveness of analyzing damaged or weakened portions (bridging) between different types of materials like steel reinforced concrete beams without relying solely upon randomly distributed factors like stress concentration caused by an explosion event.

Embodiment 1

[0039] Embodiment 1: Taking the vulnerability analysis of a four-span rigid frame bridge under seismic load as an example, the method for analyzing the seismic vulnerability of highway bridges based on the ANN-MC-UD method is illustrated. It should be noted that the method proposed in this application is applicable to the seismic vulnerability analysis of various bridge types in highway bridges.

[0040] Specific steps are as follows:

[0041] Step 1: Probabilistic Statistical Analysis of Bridge Structure Requirements Based on IDA Method and Non-linear Time History Analysis Method

[0042] (1) Establish the finite element analysis model of the bridge structure; the span and cross-sectional dimensions of the bridge are determined by Figure 4 give. The basic fortification intensity of the structure is 8 degrees, and the design reference period is 50 years.

[0043] (2) Select multiple seismic wave records of different magnitudes according to site conditions; Figure 5 56 s...

Abstract

The invention relates to a highway bridge seismic vulnerability analysis method on the basis of ANN (artificial neural network)-MC (Monte Carlo)-UD (uniform design) methods. Aiming to overcome limitation that structural randomness is not taken into consideration by existing seismic vulnerability analysis methods, the highway bridge seismic vulnerability analysis method can be used for probability statistic analysis to capacity and requirements of bridge structures respectively by the combination of the methods of ANN, MC and UD, so that seismic vulnerability curves taking structural randomness and seismic randomness comprehensively are formed according to the probability statistic analysis. The highway bridge seismic vulnerability analysis method can provide a theoretical basis for bridge operation, seismic risk amassment and the like.
