Abstract

A method, apparatus and computer program for controlling a view of a virtual scene using a portable device are presented. In one approach, a signal is received and the portable device is synchronized such that the location of the portable device is a reference point in three-dimensional (3D) space. A virtual scene is generated in 3D space around the reference point, the virtual scene including virtual reality elements. Furthermore, the method determines the current position of the portable device in 3D space relative to the reference point and creates a view of the virtual scene. The view represents a virtual scene as viewed from and having a perspective based on the current location of the portable device. Furthermore, the created view is displayed in the portable device, and the view of the virtual scene is changed when the portable device is moved in the 3D space by the user. In another approach, multiple players sharing the virtual reality and interacting with each other view objects in the virtual reality.
