Embodiment Construction

[0021] The figures show a preferred embodiment of a motor wheel according to the invention. The motorized hub 1 is intended to initiate and control the rotation of the wheel 2 . Pneumatic tires have been omitted from the figures. The hub 7 intended to receive the wheel 2 is mounted such that it can rotate about the hub axis M relative to the hub carrier 5 .

[0022] The hub axis M is in this application a constant reference and reference is made to this axis to define a "radial" or "axial" orientation. It is to be remembered, and as used in the wheel or tire art, that an axial orientation is an orientation parallel to the axis of the hub and a radial orientation is an orientation perpendicular to the axis of the hub.

[0023] The electric unit 3 drives and, if appropriate, brakes the hub. To simplify the drawing of the electric unit, only the shaft 33 of the inner rotor 31 and the sleeve of the outer stator 32 are shown. The rotation of the electric unit is linked to the r...

Abstract

The invention relates in particular to a motorized hub (1) for an electrically powered motor vehicle, said motorized hub comprising a hub (7) intended to accept a wheel (2), the hub being mounted such that it can rotate with respect to a hub carrier (5) about a hub axis (M), the motorized hub comprising an electric traction unit (3), the electric unit comprising an external stator (32) connected to the hub carrier and an internal rotor (31) of which the axis of rotation (R) is distant from the axis of the hub, the motorized hub comprising reduction means (4) acting between the shaft (33) of the rotor of the electric unit and the hub, the motorized hub (1) comprising friction braking means, a braking rotor (12) being secured to the hub in terms of rotation and positioned axially on the inside of the vehicle in relation to said hub, the shaft of the rotor of the electric unit being positioned radially on the outside of the braking rotor and extending axially from the reduction means towards the inside of the vehicle, the reduction means comprising a driven pinion (42) connected to the rotor of the electric unit and a toothed annulus (45) connected to the hub, a braking shaft (73) passing through the hub carrier to connect the braking rotor to the hub, the motorized hub being characterized in that the reduction means comprise two reduction stages and in that the hub is mounted to rotate via hub rolling bearings (71) which are positioned around a stub axle (51) of the hub carrier, the braking shaft passing axially an opening (52) in the stub axle.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the ground contact system of an electric motor vehicle, and in particular to its motor wheels. Background technique [0002] A number of solutions are known in this field, for example those in documents EP 0878332, EP1630026, WO 2006 / 032669, US 2007 / 0257570, WO 2007 / 083209 or WO2009 / 124892. [0003] In this application, the expression "motorized hub" is used to denote a mechanical assembly comprising a hub, a hub carrier, a guide of said hub relative to said hub carrier, an electric drive and a hub braking device. Thus, a motorized hub is intended on the one hand to receive a wheel, for example fitted with a pneumatic tire, and on the other hand to support the vehicle, usually via a suspension arrangement. In the present application, the expression "motor wheel" is likewise used to denote a mechanical assembly comprising a motor hub as defined above plus a corresponding wheel. [0004] Document WO 2009 / 24892 describes a motor...
