The method comprises the steps that: a sample requiring testing is selected and detected, and performance parameters of the sample are recorded; according to an actual application environment of the sample, a corresponding ultraviolet lamp is adopted as a light source of an ultraviolet test instrument; an acceleration factor is calculated with the energy of ultraviolet component in sunlight and ultraviolet radiation energy emitted by the ultraviolet lamp; and the time required by the accelerated life test is determined with the life expectancy of the sample requiring testing; the sample is placed into the ultraviolet test instrument; after a time period of the accelerated life test, parameters of the test sample are detected again, and comparison and determination are carried out. According to the invention, the acceleration factor is calculated with the energy of ultraviolet component in sunlight and ultraviolet radiation energy emitted by the ultraviolet lamp, and the time required by the accelerated life test is calculated according to the life expectancy of the sample, such that sample life can be tested in acceleration, and product research, development, and production time can be saved.
