Abstract

The present invention relates to an application-driven CDN pre-cache. The present invention provides a technique for caching content in high speed before the content is requested. The request for the required content is received from a client machine at a cache server. The request also indicates the additional content related with the required content, and the additional content maby be requested by the client machine. The indicated additional content (and required content, if not cathed) is searched from an original server. The requested content is transmitted to the client application at user equipment, and the additional content is cathed in the cathe server. Afterwards, a second request which comprises the request to the additional content can be received from the client machine. Now the additional content which is cathed in the cathe server is supplied to the client application by the cathe server in response to the second request (instead of searching from the original server).
