Abstract

The invention provides a plasma-initiated method for preparing an allyl monomer-polyolefin grafted copolymer. The method comprises the following steps of: ionizing gas to plasmas by a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) method, and meanwhile, treating the surfaces of polymer solid particles through the plasmas; generating active free radicals such as peroxy radicals on the surface of the polymer treated in a short time; immediately transferring the treated polymer particles to a flask containing allyl monomers such as styrene; grafting under protection of nitrogen; under initiating effect of various active radicals on the surface of the polymer, on the one hand grafting the allyl monomers such as styrene on the surface of the polymer to form the grafted polymer and on the other hand, performing homopolymerization on the allyl monomers; and after a period of time, washing the homopolymer by a special washing liquid to obtain the residual product which is the targeted product polymer grafted copolymer. The method is free from extra initiator, short in reaction time, free from high vacuum and high voltage, mild in reaction condition and higher in grafting efficiency, the reaction period is shortened and the energy resources are saved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for treating polyolefin solid particles with plasma and initiating graft polymerization of ethylenic monomers such as styrene on the surface to prepare polymer graft copolymers. Background technique [0002] The plasma state is also called the fourth state of matter. Most of the visible matter in the universe exists in a plasma state, such as stars and all visible interstellar matter exist in a plasma state. Plasma is an ionized gas, usually composed of positive ions, negative ions, electrons, and electrically neutral particles. With the deepening of research on plasma, the application of plasma in various fields continues to expand. In the field of polymers, plasma technology has been used in plasma surface modification, plasma polymerization, and plasma-induced polymerization. [0003] Plasma surface modification refers to the modification method that uses plasma to treat the polymer surface to change its surface gr...
