The alloy foil uses Al-Mn alloy as basis, and comprises chemical compositions by mass percent: less than or equal to 0.3 % of Si, less than or equal to 0.6 % of Fe, 0.12-0.18 % of Cu, 1.1-1.4 % of Mn, 0.10-0 .25 % of La, less than or equal to 0.01 % of Mg, less than or equal to 0.03 % of Zn, less than or equal to 0.05 % of Ti, and the balance being Al. The preparation method uses a continuous roll-casting method, and comprises firstly producing casting rolls, secondly rolling the casting rolls, and annealing by using a furnace gas temperature control way. The invention provides a rare earth aluminum-manganese alloy foil which is uniform in crystal grain and high in intensity, and does not has intergranular corrosion and segregation; the preparation method combines casting and rolling, and thus improves compactness of metal organization, eliminates defects of shrinkage cavity and loosening, reduces segregation, eliminates head and tail cutting, increases a yield by more than 15 %, realizes continuous and automatic casting-rolling production, and shortens production period.
