The method includes steps of creating the various components for processing the multimedia data according to different functions; allowing a user to input a command for the multimedia data to be processed; creating a multimedia channel by all the components related to the inputted command and simultaneously correspondingly creating an event channel and a reference clock; sequentially processing the multimedia data to be processed by the components in the multimedia channel; controlling multimedia data processing time points according to the unified reference clock when the various components process the data; and constructing corresponding types of events when the components need to trigger the events, pushing the events to the event channel, and processing each event by a first-in first-processing principle when the event channel inquires the arrival of the events. The method for processing the multimedia data has the advantages of flexibility in configuration and high processing efficiency.
