Abstract

The invention discloses continuous glass fiber reinforced polypropylene with high impact strength and a preparation method thereof. The continuous glass fiber reinforced polypropylene is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 56-77 parts of polypropylene, 20-40 parts of glass fiber, 0.1-0.6 part of beta nucleating agent, 0.2-0.8 part of antioxidant and 2-6 parts of compatibilizer. According to the continuous glass fiber reinforced polypropylene disclosed by the invention, the high-content beta crystal form polypropylene can be obtained by adding the beta nucleating agent in polypropylene, so that the impact strength of the polypropylene material is improved; and the problem that other mechanical properties of the polypropylene are sacrificed when an elastomer is adopted for blending so as to toughen the polypropylene is avoided. The commercialized trade name high-melting index polypropylene synthesized by adopting a polymerization way can avoid the problem of the method which adopts peroxides for degrading the polypropylene so as to obtain high melting index that the residual peroxides easily causes the aging of the polypropylene.
