The fat-reducing essential oil and a preparation method thereof have the advantages that: (1) the preparation method has the advantages of simple technology, low cost of production and equipment, easiness in mass industrial production, high efficiency, and no pollution to the environment; (2) the product is non-toxic to humans and animals, and has a prominent fat-reducing effect through a finger massage method; (3) the fat-reducing oil does not contain any chemical synthesis agent such as cuticle stripping agent, and has no incentive to normal skin cells; (4) the effective components in the product are all natural products, are used by people since the beginning of the history, and have far better effects than those of present similar drugs.
