This invention discloses an iron-
nitrogen co-
doped carbon material for the adsorption and
catalytic degradation of
phenol, its preparation method, and its applications. The preparation method includes the following steps: using
grapefruit peel as
raw material, the material undergoes oxidation, pre-amidation,
metal-organic framework loading,
inert atmosphere calcination, and activation to obtain the iron-
nitrogen co-
doped carbon material. This method is economical and
environmentally friendly. The
prepared material has a hierarchical pore structure and a
nitrogen-rich structure, with a specific surface area of 365.35 m² / g. The pore size matches the
phenol molecule, resulting in rapid
mass transfer. The iron-nitrogen co-
doped carbon material can achieve a saturated adsorption capacity of 186.6 mg / g for
phenol and can catalytically degrade phenol through its stable Fe-N active sites, realizing integrated "adsorption-degradation" and avoiding
secondary treatment. The material has a stable structure, is resistant to acids and alkalis, and maintains a high adsorption capacity even after multiple cycles, making it suitable for the efficient treatment of phenol-containing
wastewater.
