[0033] figure 1 Spectra of different light sources are shown. The spectrum of the fluorescent lamp 100 shows a high intensity in the visible spectral range, that is to say between wavelengths of 390 nm and 780 nm. In the infrared spectral range, that is to say for wavelengths above 780 nm, the spectrum of the fluorescent lamp 100 has an almost vanishing intensity. The spectrum of sunlight 101 shows a high intensity in the visible spectral range and a lower intensity in the infrared spectral range. The spectrum of the heat radiator 102 increases continuously to a wavelength of approximately 1000 nm at a temperature of 2856 Kelvin. The spectrum of the incandescent lamp 103 runs substantially parallel to the spectrum of the heat radiator 102 .

Abstract

The invention relates to a unit (1) for determining the type of the dominating light source in electromagnetic radiation (2) incident on the unit (1), the electromagnetic radiation being produced from a plurality of light sources of different types. The unit comprises at least one first photodiode (10), which is designed to detect electromagnetic radiation in the visible spectral range and to produce a first output signal (11). The unit comprises at least one second photodiode (20), which is designed to detect electromagnetic radiation in the infrared spectral range and to produce a second output signal (21). The unit comprises at least one computing unit (30), which is designed to derive a quotient result (23) and a frequency result (13) from the first output signal (11) and the second output signal (21). The frequency result (13) provides information about the presence or absence of signal components contained in the electromagnetic radiation in a specified frequency range. The unit comprises at least one evaluating unit (40), which is designed to derive the type of the dominating light source from the quotient result (23) and the frequency result (13).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a sensor for determining the type of a dominant light source from a plurality of different types of light sources. Furthermore, a measurement method is proposed. Background technique [0002] Sensors, in particular color sensors, which perform a complete spectral analysis are known from the prior art. [0003] The problem here is that these sensors are complex and thus expensive to produce. Contents of the invention [0004] This problem is achieved by a sensor and a measurement method for producing a sensor according to independent claims 1 or 15 . [0005] Developments and advantageous embodiments of the sensor are described in the dependent claims. [0006] The unit for determining the type of light source prevailing in the electromagnetic radiation incident on the unit has different embodiments. Electromagnetic radiation is produced by many different types of light sources. The unit has at least one first photodetect...
