The BICM transmission system comprises an LDPC coding module, a bit mapping module and a constellation modulation module. The bit mapping module comprises a writing-in unit, a replacement unit and a reading-out unit. The writing-in unit enables output bit streams of LDPC codes to be written in a storage list by columns. A bit replacement sequence is preset in the replacement unit, and bit replacement is performed on the storage list according to the bit replacement sequence. The reading-out unit is used for reading out the sequence after bit replacement.
