The novel net post comprises a base, a supporting column arranged on the base and an elastic ball net arranged on the supporting column. The supporting column is provided with a lifting system capable of controlling the whole elastic ball net to move vertically in the length direction of the supporting column. A lifting sliding block is arranged in the lifting system. A height adjusting mechanism used for adjusting the longitudinal size of the elastic ball net is further arranged on the supporting column and comprises a sliding rail arranged in the axial direction of the lifting sliding block. Movable sliding tables which are capable of being closer to or far away from each other and are in sliding fit connection with the sliding rail are arranged at the two ends of the lifting sliding block. Rotating handles used for adjusting the two movable sliding tables and locating locking pins used for fixing the rotating handles are arranged on the lifting sliding block.
