The screw compressor is provided with the components of: the female rotor and the male rotor which are in a pair, are provided with spiral blades (2t,3t) and are engaged with each other for rotating; a housing (4); and a liquid supplying opening (25) which is configured on the housing attracting side inner wall (9) that opposes an attracting side end surface of the female rotor and the male rotor. In an axial direction, around the axis center (26) of the female rotor (3), the liquid supplying opening is communicated with an area which is provided between a tooth bottom radius (r1) and an addendum radius (r3) of an attracting side end surface (2p) of the female rotor. Furthermore liquid is supplied to inner part of the housing in an angle range between a cross point (27) and a male rotor axis center (28), wherein the cross point is between a female rotor side cylinder hole (wb) and a male rotor side cylinder hole (mb) on the housing. The attracting side end surface and the housing attracting side inner wall of the female rotor and the male rotor, which surround the liquid supplying opening, are configured adjacently so that liquid overflow is prevented.
