Abstract

The preparation is a decoction prepared by decocting the following traditional Chinese medicines: balanophora polyandra griff, perny false fairybells rhizome, whorledleaf solomonseal rhizome, radix scrophulariae, fiveleaf akebia fruit, variegated lady slipper, dioscorea hemsleyi, souliea vaginata, latouchea fokiensis, franchet pea tree flower and purple lythrum herb. Clinical tests by the hospital prove that the total effective rate is 93.4 percent, and is remarkably superior to that of a control group; and the eyesight recovered level is higher than that of the control group.
