The method includes the following steps that firstly, according to the characteristic of the distributed power generation system, system parameters and all kinds of fundamental wave and harmonic wave measurement data are obtained; then, fundamental wave and all sub-harmonic voltages of all nodes of the distributed power generation system are calculated through a fundamental wave and harmonic wave state estimation method; next, fundamental and all sub-harmonic wave currents of all branch circuits of the system are respectively calculated according to fundamental wave and all sub-harmonic wave voltages of the nodes at the two ends of each branch circuit and parameters of each branch circuit; finally, injection fundamental wave currents and all sub-harmonic currents of all the nodes are calculated through a relation formula between branch circuit currents and the node injection currents, and the distribution conditions of current total harmonic distortion factors of all the nodes of the system are further calculated, so that distribution positions of all harmonic sources are accurately determined, and the characteristics are analyzed.
